Résumé détaillé

Taiwan's Tourism Administration has extended its NT$600 (US$18.30) gift voucher program for foreign transit passengers at Taoyuan International Airport to the end of 2028.

Taipei, Nov. 7 (CNA) Taiwan's Tourism Administration has extended its NT$600 (US$18.30) gift voucher program for foreign transit passengers at Taoyuan International Airport to the end of 2028.

In a recent statement, the administration said the voucher program, originally scheduled to run from Nov. 1, 2025 to Oct. 31, 2026, has been extended to Dec. 31, 2028, or until the allocated funds are exhausted.

It said the extension was intended to encourage transit passengers to enter the country and spend money at the airport, while aligning the program with the expected completion of Terminal 3 by the end of 2027.

The administration said the program was initially allocated NT$22 million, enough to issue approximately 36,666 vouchers worth NT$600 each. As of Oct. 31, 33,525 vouchers had been handed out, with the remaining supply expected to be exhausted by the end of November.
