China Eastern Airlines is set to sign $540 million worth of procurement orders during the ongoing 9th China International Import Expo.
The deals will comprise 23 contracts signed with 15 suppliers from eight countries and regions, covering aircraft engines, aviation materials, aviation fuel, in-flight meals, and fresh salmon, according to the Shanghai-based carrier.
As the airline continues to expand its global network, the carrier is also widening its procurement categories worldwide, from high-end aviation power equipment and key aviation components and parts to in-flight catering and aviation fuel, among others.
