Inside lame-duck Trump's next moves with 'vultures circling' – as war fears escalate

Résumé détaillé
Quick-to-anger US President Donald Trump may have suffered a humiliating defeat, but he's still got two years before he leaves the White House - and anything could happen in that time
If Donald Trump was volatile and unpredictable before, we might need to buckle up for the next two years.
Such was the humiliation he suffered in the US midterms that the White House’s official X account even had to remind Americans that he is still President. Now a lame duck leader having lost Republican control of the Senate and the House of Representatives, who knows what he might do next.
Even his closest UK pal, Nigel Farage, is worried. Mr Farage, who campaigned to get the quick-to-anger tycoon back into power in 2024, now fears the 80-year-old could ramp up his war in Iran.
Mr Farage previously argued Keir Starmer should have the UK join when the war was it launched, but now armed with the benefit of hindsight, says: "I suppose I worry that the president will continue aggressively attacking Iran.”
