The Federal Government has barred the National Teachers’ Institute (NTI), Kaduna, from awarding National Certificate in Education (NCE) and university degrees, following regulatory breaches involving admissions, accreditation and university affiliations.
The government has also cancelled all admissions into the institute’s NCE and degree programmes for the 2026 academic session and directed it to discontinue all university affiliations and degree-awarding arrangements.
In a statement signed by Boriowo Folasade, director of press and public relations, the Federal Ministry of Education warned prospective students, parents and the general public against seeking admission into the affected programmes.
The directive follows violations of the Ministerial Operational Guidelines issued on September 12, 2025.
